SUMMER STRIPES

Image
One thing is certain, LA temperatures have officially become unbearable! HOT and HUMID, it feels like you you're in a sauna every time you step outside! Though I feel kind of silly complaining about the warmth and the sunshine because I am usually such a summer girl, nevertheless, lately I find myself longing for fall and somewhat more habitable temperatures:) You know, sometimes a girl just wants to enjoy her day without make-up melting off her face and frizzy hair...  As tempting as it is to hide from the heat indoors, daring to venture outside only in the evening, Emil and I are not really indoors kinda people. So, we've been trying to avoid the heat by spending the majority of our time in Malibu, which tends to be a bit cooler.  Funny, after hanging out in Malibu for years, we thought we knew all the cute hangout spots but I guess we were wrong:) Our latest discovery and obsession - The Malibu Cafe . Love the rustic decor, outside pool tables and paddle boat rides. Also, i...

SANTA BARBARA WINE TASTING

Image
Found the most perfect dress to wear to a wine tasting in Santa Barbara... Light-as-air off the shoulder lace, for me, it just doesn't get better than that:) Though it works with pretty much any pair of heels imaginable and can easily be dresses up with some strappy sandals and a clutch, I actually prefer to downplay it with gladiators and a cross-body. Something about this combination has such relaxed and easy vibes and a quintessential Summer appeal! Love that! What do you guys think? MEET ME IN MALIBU

Image
Hiking in Malibu, or as I like to call it, the place where it all started. It's kind of hard to imagine that it's been more than four years since Emil and I shot our very first post for VivaLuxury in this exact spot! Feeling a bit nostalgic, really... A lot has changed, but a lot has remained the same, most importantly I still enjoy our shoots with Emil as much as I did the day it all began:) It's kind of funny but starting VivaLuxury really opened my eyes and helped me to discover a whole new side of me. Switching to Fashion from Computer Science background at first seems like a 180 degree turn, but eventually I realized those two are not mutually exclusive and I am simply a computer science geek with a passion for fashion! What has changed in the past four years is my appreciation for appropriate hiking footwear. Can't imagine why, but I went with a pair of platform, sky-high heeled boots on our first shoot! Let me tell you, comfortable it was not! So, keeping comfor...

PERFECT ASYMMETRY

Image
I have never met an off-the-shoulder dress I didn't like! Never! Pondering about what it is about these dresses I find so attractive, I think that aside from the fact that they appeal to my girly side, to me, they are the quintessential summer dress! This particular DVF number is made even more appealing by the asymmetric hem and light-as-air silk-chiffon which feels like you wearing nothing at all! I got it right before our last trip to Palm Springs thinking it was a great little option to throw over my bikini but realized very quickly that this dress had a day-to-night transformation potential. Though it pairs beautifully with gladiator sandals and raffia totes, I am quite keen on the way it looks with high heels! Very girly and pretty! And I love that of course!:) DIANE VON FURSTENBURG Camila printed silk-chiffon dress   { more sizes here } | NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD embellished leather & cork platform sandals | CHLOE Carlina 60mm oversized sunglasses | CHLOE Drew small texture...

DREW DIARIES :: VIVALUXURY FOR CHLOE

Image
If I had to choose one designer to wear for the rest of my life, Chloe would be it! There is something incredibly elegant and effortless about Chloe. In essence, a Chloe girl is cool without trying and it is precisely this quality I find so attractive. Naturally, when Chloe invited me to take part in "The Drew Diaries" campaign to style the iconic Drew Bag, I jumped at the chance to create a few looks incorporating one of my favorite Chloe pieces ever! CHLOE medium Drew bag | FREE PEOPLE Willow dress | KENNETH COLE Neve studded sandals | NIALAYA stingray  bracelet  & rose gold & matte onyx  bracelet  Look 1: Fresh after a day full of meetings and errands, a walk on Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood seemed like such a good idea! A little shopping, a little dining but mostly soaking up the sun and enjoying the warm weather...  I wanted to wear something comfortable so I chose a cute little off-the-shoulder dress and strappy gladiators. I compl...
